To boot, only having a pair of hours to explore a place isn’t really what I’m trying to do. When we docked at Grand Turk Island (Cockburn Town), all I could see was a block of overpriced shops. BORING. It was so hot we spent our time beneath a canopy. By the time we went to check out the taxis, we didn’t have enough time to tour the rest of the town.
On the Carnival Victory, the pool was the size of an inflatable backyard pool. It had one waterslide which was broken for most of the trip. There’s a gym, I guess. If you like to do sing-a-longs, I guess you’d be alright.
I’m near wine country and rarely take advantage of it. I also have beaches, deserts, and mountains all within driving distance. Okay, now I just sound ridiculous.
Even as the sun was setting Saint-Gilles roared on. It was loud but fun. “So, besides frites what else do people here around here?”, I asked.
Belgium is more than just frites, kip (that’s chicken), and Bier, but it’s one of the easiest ways to introduce even the most finicky eaters to Belgian flavors. Sadly, when I attempted to make waffles the Belgian way, my waffle maker decided it didn’t need to cooperate and I ended up angrily making pancakes. *sigh*
